Birmingham Lord Mayor’s Big Curry

On Saturday 9th April 2011, Birmingham will once again come together to support ABF The Soldiers’ Charity at the second annual Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch held at the Banqueting Suite of the Council House, Birmingham.
This year, we are expecting even greater numbers to come together and enjoy the delights of a tasty curry along with the opportunity to mingle and network over a glass of wine or a refreshing Cobra Beer.
We are delighted to have the pleasure of two celebrity guests –Chef Rustie Lee and local rock legend Roy Wood.
You will also have the chance of winning one of our great raffle prizes – all this for just £25 per ticket!
New for 2011
To coincide with the Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch, we are also taking the Big Curry outside into Victoria Square. We will have a Big Curry Cook-Off between the Army, Itihaas Indian Restaurant and University College Birmingham. The Cook-Off will be judged by Rustie Lee and Roy Wood.
There will also be lots more activities in and around the Square including the famous Land Rover Terrapod driving experience, Bhangra bands, Bollywood dancers, army exhibitions and local radio station BRMB who will be broadcasting live on the day.
In aid of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity every penny raised through the event will go directly to helping soldiers, former soldiers and their families whatever their circumstances, whatever their age, whatever their rank – the support and commitment to soldiers is never ending.

Bristol Lord Mayor’s Big Curry

The Mansion House lunch will be serving up a Big Curry lunch to members of the local community, making this a can’t miss Bristol event in the company of The Lord Mayor and four previous Mayors of The City and County of Bristol.
