The Big Curry Showdown!

The Soldiers’ Charity Big Curry is the flagship fundraiser of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. Curry lovers and supporters of the charity were asked to host their own curry themed fundraising event throughout the month of April. This could have been through ordering a take-away, eating out or by hosting a curry themed event in an attempt to raise money for The Soldiers’ Charity. With curry now being the nation’s favourite dish, it is the perfect way to show your support!

Taking place at 1pm on Bank holiday Monday at Ideal Home Show Scotland will be an Ideal Home Show very own Big Curry event at the Celebrity Chef theatre and everyone is invited to join in. Two army chefs will be preparing their signature curry for panel of foodie judges; Gregg Wallace, Jacqueline O’Donnell and our celebrity chefs.

Sergeant Gary Pyle (3rd Battalion, The Rifles) and Sergeant Robertson (The Royal Highland Fusiliers, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland) will be the two soldiers competing for the tastiest curry creation.

Everyone can join in, as we’ll be dishing out free samples of both curries for all to try afterwards! There will also be the chance to make a donation towards the Ideal Homes for Heroes Campaign, the partnership with ABF The Soldier’s Charity, raising grants and home improvements for soldiers in Scotland.
